Paintings: Torii Gate Sunset

Painting on a rice paper
Ink and mineral pigments
Size: ~51×41 cm (~16×12 inches)

Moulded on another layer of paper, not framed

This is a minimalist sumi-e painting of sunset through Torii gate.

A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred.

Traditional Japanese art. Handpainted on rice paper, mounted (stretched on another layer of rice paper). Signed and stamped with my personal seal.

This is my original artwork, not a print or a reproduction. Shipped unframed in a protective packaging including a Certificate of Authenticity. Worldwide shipping.
