Paintings: 無 Mu / Wu calligraphy - Emptiness or Nothingness

Calligraphy
Gold ink on black rice paper
Size: ~21×21 cm (~8¼ × 8¼ inches)

Moulded on another layer of paper, not framed

This is a calligraphy of the traditional Chinese (or Japanese Kanji) 無 character in golden ink on black rice paper.

無 (Chinese "Wu" / Japanese Kanji "Mu") means Emptiness or Nothingness. That's a key word in Buddhism, especially Zen traditions, as the inner emptiness allows observation, awareness, learning, creation, or feeling.
