Traditional Japanese sumi-e art. Handpainted on raw unbleached rice paper in sumi ink, mounted (stretched on another layer of rice paper), NOT framed. Signed and stamped with my personal seal, "Zen" and "Harmony" seal also carved by me. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Bamboo is a very strong plant, it is a symbol of prosperity in Japan. Simple and unadorned, the bamboo is also symbolic of purity and innocence. This is one of the favorite plants in traditional Japanese and Chinese painting.
