Lotus Flower — hand carved Oriental chop stamp hanko, sacred Buddhist symbol
€185,00
Size of the imprint: 35 × 23 mm = 1⅓ × 1 inches
This is a hand carved stone seal with a 13-petal lotus image. In Buddhism, the lotus flower holds great significance and is often used as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and spiritual awakening. The lotus is considered a sacred flower because it grows in muddy waters but emerges pristine and beautiful. It represents the ability to rise above the challenges and impurities of the world to attain spiritual enlightenment. The number of petals on a lotus flower can also carry symbolic meaning. The thirteen petals represent the thirteen stages of the path to enlightenment, known as the Bodhisattva Bhumis. The Bodhisattva Bhumis are the stages of spiritual development and progress towards attaining enlightenment. Each stage represents a different level of understanding and realization. The thirteen petal lotus serves as a visual reminder of the journey towards spiritual awakening and the potential for enlightenment within all beings.
