This is an unusual round Oriental painting of a Koi Fish swimming above a Lotus flower. Fits any square frame of size 30×30 cm (12×12 inches) or more. Painted on handmade unbleached Japanese rice paper, stamped with my personal artist's seal.

Koi Fish meaning in Japan is good fortune or luck. They also are associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose, the Koi fish symbolize good luck, abundance and perseverance. Today the fish are considered to be symbolic of advancement materially and spiritually.

The Lotus is a sacred flower in both Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the path to spiritual awakening and enlightenment.
