Hand Carved Pine Cone Stone Seal: Chinese Japanese Inkan Hanko

This is a hand carved Oriental stone seal with an image of a pine cone.

Size: 17×27 mm (~¾ × 1¼ inches), the stone height is ca. 2 inch.

Unlike most of my stone seals it doesn't have kanji characters. I use this seal as a form of decoration of my nature-inspired painting. This particular stamp can be a curious gift for a calligrapher, an artist or any person interested in Chinese or Japanese culture.

I enjoy carving seals and consider it a part of my artistic practice. I always carve my seals by hand, like it used to be for centuries, never use any machines or ready-made designs.
