This painting is inspired by Matsuo Basho's classic haiku:

古池や
蛙飛び込む
水の音

an ancient pond
a frog jumps in
the sound of water

I used raw unbleached paper with grass fibers to represent the old pond. Minimalist as the haiku itself, this painting will be a great addition to any Japan-inspired interior.
