Enso Zen Circle and Two Koi Sumi-e Painting

This one-of-a-kind sumi-e painting was created with traditional Japanese ink on fine rice paper in my Budapest studio.

Size: 100×70 cm (40×27½ inches).

In Zen practice, the Enso circle, painted in a single brushstroke, represents harmony, enlightenment, and the beauty of imperfection. The two koi bring the energy of perseverance, balance, and good fortune, making this a powerful symbolic piece for meditation spaces, wabi sabi interiors, or modern minimalist homes. Painted using authentic Japanese ink and brushes, the work retains the texture and fluidity that are characteristic of sumi-e. The rice paper’s delicate surface allows every brushstroke to show in its pure form.

Signed and stamped with stone seals carved by myself: Enlightenment, Brush sings, ink dances, Two koi, and my personal artist’s seal.
Signed certificate of authenticity included.
